What is a good online music editor?

I have been a garageband user and enjoy recording with it and play my guitar into it.
Recently, my company is providing me with a windows laptop and I am thinking of selling my macpro away. The problem with my company laptop is that it cannot install software. Thus I am looking at the option of an online music editor to replace garageband.

I browsed the web and found this soundation and musiclab.

Any brother or sister here have good experience using these?

I've tried out soundation and honestly I think it's probably the best you can get atm :/

The lack of visual cues (markers when adjusting notes, inability to change skins/channel colors, etc) is annoying as hell, not to mention you can't audition/preview samples and notes. It's like a crappy free version of Ableton :/

Why not use an external HDD and install your DAW/sample packs there?
